This release brings advanced cost allocation and telemetry-driven insights to help you measure cloud efficiency with precision. With new capabilities for Kubernetes monitoring, commitment tracking, and multi-cloud billing, you can now connect business metrics to infrastructure spend and make smarter decisions across your entire cloud footprint.
Allocate Shared Costs Using Telemetry
You can now allocate shared costs in Dimensions using telemetry data rather than fixed percentages. This lets you distribute costs based on actual business activity, such as customer usage, transactions, API calls, or team allocation.
Select Telemetry as the allocation method, map telemetry values to Dimension categories, and preview how costs are divided based on their proportional weight.

Unit Cost Economics Widget
A new Unit Cost widget is now available on dashboards, allowing you to measure how efficiently cloud spend converts into business value. The widget calculates cost per unit based on the telemetry you choose, showing trends over time and helping you understand whether efficiency is improving or declining.

Notify-Only Workflows for Kubernetes Resources
You can now create Notify-Only workflows for Kubernetes.
Since automation actions are not yet available for Kubernetes resources, this update ensures you can still monitor Kubernetes utilization and receive alerts when thresholds are not met. You can target Kubernetes services such as nodes, namespaces, pods, deployments, daemonsets, and more.

Subscribe to Commitment Updates
You can now subscribe to commitment reports for a specific organization and receive updates automatically. Each subscription includes key commitment data and CSVs, making it easier for Finance, Product, and leadership teams to stay informed without manual exports or recurring report requests.

DigitalOcean Billing Integration
You can now connect your DigitalOcean account to Cloudchipr and analyze its billing data directly in Billing Explorer. This integration lets you view spend by project, service, usage type, and category, as you do with AWS, GCP, and Azure.
After connecting your account using an API key, Cloudchipr automatically imports invoice data and maps it into Billing Explorer’s hierarchy.

These are just a few highlights; we improve many more based on your feedback.
