We’re shipping improvements that reduce clicks and surface signal—smarter organization, leaner exports, savings/coverage at a glance, and fair allocation for shared services. Dive into the details:

Billing Explorer: Create Dimensions from Filters

Turn any active filter set into a reusable Dimension directly from the Filters popover.

Billing Explorer: Choose Tags in CSV Export

You can now select which Tags to include when exporting CSVs.

Billing Explorer: Savings Opportunities Drawer

Now you can see all savings opportunities that match your billing filters—directly from Billing Explorer.

  • Clicking it opens a drawer listing all matching opportunities
  • Each item links to the resource drawer for details

Resource Drawer: Coverage

Now you can see commitment coverage for any resource.

  • New Coverage tab and summary on General; date range follows the report.
  • Covered commitments table with drill-downs to the commitment drawer

Dimensions: Shared Cost Allocation

Now you can allocate shared costs across categories within a single Dimension.

  • Create rules with Manual (% per category) or Even split (auto-equal) methods; choose allocation scope

Why it’s useful

Shared services (DBs, NAT gateways, logging buckets) span multiple teams. Without allocation, spend lands in “unassigned.” Shared Cost rules let you scope that spend and split it across categories so reports and budgets match reality.

  • Shared RDS: One DB serves Prod and Dev. Scope the rule to that RDS resource ID; allocate 70% Prod / 30% Dev.
  • NAT Gateway in a shared VPC: Used by four teams. Scope to the NAT Gateway; choose Even split across four categories.

Beyond these features, we’ve made multiple refinements based on customer feedback to improve performance, usability, and consistency throughout the platform.
